Biographical Notes of Assistant Minister Gao Shuxun

Assistant Minister, Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China

   In February 2010, Gao was appointed Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Culture and Member of the Ministerial CPC Committee of MOC, concurrently holding the post of Director-General of the Department of Personnel.

In October 2005, he was appointed Director-General of the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Culture.

In May 2001, Gao was appointed Director-General of the Department of Policies and Regulations.

In July 1998, he became the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Policies and Regulations.

In July 1996, Gao worked as Deputy Director-General of the Department of General Affairs of the Ministry of Culture.

In September 1994, he was appointed Director of the Research Division of the Department of Personnel.

In August 1991, he worked as Deputy Director of the Professional Titles Reform Office of the Ministry of Culture.

In December 1985, he was assigned to work in the Division of Professional Cadres in the Department of Personnel of Ministry of Culture and successively held the posts of Chief Officer and Deputy Director.

In August 1985, he was assigned to work in the CPC Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture.

In May 1976, he worked in the Beijing Foreign Languages Printing House and took charge in the Office of Economic Development.

In December 1969, Gao joined the Army as a Private and later Captain in the Second Artillery Force.
